A Bedtime Story

How do you do my child?
I've come to wish you goodnight
but you must beware now
of all the things just out of sight

Beware the crimson rat
who lingers under your bed
Beware the green monster
whose come to remove thy head

Beware all the demons
behind every single door
Beware the howling wolf
who lies underneath the floor

Beware the vampires
with a taste for all things flesh
Beware the cannibals
who hunger for a corpse fresh

Beware the countless worms
who have come to eat your eyes
Beware the large black dog
who licks your blood as it dries

Yes my son you beware
for these creatures lurk tonight
sleep with both eyes wide open
but I must wish you goodnight…..
