The Cold Wind

The cold wind blows
biting the back of my neck
chilling my bare arms
squinting my eyes in misery
It swirls under my shirt
chaps my lips
and burns my cheeks
My nose turns red
My toes begin to ache
The cold wind freezes my skin
peels my flesh
and turns my face into a smile
